Close to Sheffield University, the main contractors PDR created a six storey timberframed construction apartment building - the largest of its kind in the UK.

Stuarts Screeding installed a robust screed floor cast on all six levels, the specification involved the soundBar® system developed by Finnforest - a revolutionary new concept in acoustic performance. This unique system combines three key components: the marketleading and highly engineered I-Joist from Finnforest, their soundBar® board which minimises sound transfer between floors, and Gyvlon screed from Lafarge for a quick-drying and super-smooth finish.

Taking advantage of better acoustics, reduced build time, material cost savings and simple site logistics, the Stuarts Screeding team brought it all together for a sound result.
