Commitment
We are very conscious of the need to protect the Environment and Ecosystem from any damage as a result of our operation. We are committed to achieving the highest standards of environmental performance and continually improve. We acknowledge that our operations have a direct and indirect environmental impact and aim to minimise them and operate in an environmentally responsible manner.
We will comply with current leglisation as a minimum.
General Policy
We believe that a sensitive and good management approach to these matters will reduce the impact of our operations on the Environment to the benefit of everyone in the vicinity of our works. The very nature of our Construction Operations inevitably creates dust, noise, waste, gaseous emissions, water and silt etc., all of which need to be assessed and controlled. A proactive approach will be taken in ensuring the environmental damage is minimised during our works and that appropriate steps are taken to prevent pollution.
Statement of Principles. Stuarts Screeding undertake to:

Ensure environmental risks are properly defined, prioritised and managed in an appropriate and timely manner.

Establish sound environmental management policies and promote best practice.

Set environmental objectives and targets, the implementation of which will aid the reduction of our environmental impacts.

Manage our operations in ways that are environmentally sustainable and economically feasible, by making efficient and responsible use of energy and water and exploiting opportunities to maxmise efficiency.

Minimise environmental impact and prevent pollution.

Minimise waste production by reduced consumption and develop effective waste management and recycling procedures.

Monitor actively results and audit to ensure we meet our policy goals.

Develop a HR Policy to raise and maintain awareness amongst staff and promote individual good practice and encourage team participation.

Communicate this policy to all employees, external bodies or the public on request.
This policy will be reviewed annually. All our operatives will be made aware of this policy at their induction training on commencement of their employment and with subsequent Tool-Box Talks.
